Zoom In: Bugs + Botanicals : Teens/ March 5- April 1
WHEN: 3-class session / Thursdays, March 5-18 from 5:30-7 PM
DESCRIPTION: Artist and instructor Jen Aitchison will lead an exploration of leaves, flowers, and the little critters that live among them. Students will receive guided lessons in drawing and painting, learning techniques for color, texture, and composition. We’ll also explore how artists like Georgia O’Keeffe and Piet Mondrian turned flowers and plants into bold, abstract artworks while students create their own bold pieces inspired by nature, leaving kids inspired by the hidden details of spring, both in and outside of the classroom.
After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-18. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!
LOCATION: Downstairs classroom
TUITION: $67.50 for non-members / $60.75 for current CAC Family Members, enter code CACFAMMEMBER at checkout to receive 10%-member discount
SUPPLIES: All supplies provided
