Student Artist Scholarship Application

In line with our mission, we believe in creating accessible programming for all students. Should a student wish to attend a Chesterton Art Center (CAC) class, camp, or workshop, they are encouraged to apply for a Student Artist Scholarship. This scholarship is available for students of all ages and can be applied to any CAC in-house class, camp, or workshop.

For consideration of a tuition scholarship, please complete the Student Artist Scholarship Application. All applications will be reviewed on a first-come, first-served basis, and priority is given to applicants who have not already received funding during the current calendar year. Completed applications can be emailed to Cara Schmitt, Education Director, at programs@chestertonart.org.

Please contact us at (219) 926-4711 with any questions.

The Student Artist Scholarship is made possible by an initial donation from the Chesterton Duneland Kiwanis. If you would like to donate to this scholarship fund please contact our office or donate through our website using the button below. Please indicate in the notes section at checkout that you would like the funds allocated to this scholarship.

“CAC workshops have been huge in helping me grow as a[n] artist. I’ve been laid off twice in the last year and the CAC scholarship fund has enabled me to continue learning my [chosen] medium and has infused some much needed joy and community into my life in a tough season. I am so thankful to be able to take part in classes and workshops that feed this thriving artist community across the area.” -CAC Scholarship Recipient
