Capybaras, Color + Creativity: Ages 9-12 / November 10-24
WHEN: 3-class session / Tuesdays, November 10-24, from 5-6:30 PM
DESCRIPTION: With guidance from Artist and instructor Jen Aitchison, this class will get inspired by the peaceful world of capybaras and the many animals that share their habitat! This art class blends drawing skills with fun painting and mixed-media techniques as students learn to observe animals, study shapes, textures, patterns, and movement. Inspired by the diverse wildlife of South American wetlands and river ecosystems, artists will create an imaginative and colorful mixed-media artwork featuring capybaras and their animal neighbors. Through sketching, painting, and creative experimentation, students will strengthen their drawing skills, develop their artistic voice, and bring the connections between animals and their habitats to life.
After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-18. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!
LOCATION: Downstairs classroom
TUITION: $67.50 for non-members / $60.80 for current CAC Family Members, enter code CACFAMMEMBER at checkout to receive 10%-member discount
