Glowing Winter Light: Ages 9-12 / Tuesdays, December 1-15

WHEN: 3 class session / Tuesdays, December 1-15 from 5-6:30 PM

DESCRIPTION: Artist Jen Aitchison leads as exploration of the beauty of a snowy landscape beneath a winter night sky, bringing color, light, and warmth to the darkest month of the year. Inspired by the dreamlike work of Marc Chagall, students will use drawing, painting, and observation to explore color theory, warm and cool relationships, and the way light transforms a landscape. Over three sessions, they’ll create their own imaginative winter scene—finding warmth and a little bit of magic within the cold..

After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-16. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
