WHEN: 4-class session / Wednesday, May 6-27 OR Thursday, May 7-28 from 3:30- 5 PM
DESCRIPTION: In this session, led by artist Jen Aitchison, young artists will celebrate the thousands of birds passing through our area with a playful, bird-themed Cubism art. Children will create abstract bird artwork using bright colors, bold lines, and fun geometric shapes, learning how to break objects into pieces, just like Cubist pioneers Picasso and Braque. The class will explore their work and see how they turned everyday things into extraordinary art. This class is a joyful introduction to abstract art, encouraging creativity, observation, and imaginative expression while honoring the incredible journey of migrating birds!
After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-16. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
