Exploring Monotype and Relief Printmaking / Aug 13-Sept 3

WHEN: 4-class session / Wednesday, August 13- September 3, 1:30-3:30 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: Discover the possibilities of printmaking in this 4-session class led by artist and instructor Lucas Cordes. Students will be introduced to a wide range of printmaking techniques, including screen printing, monoprinting with Gelli plates, two-color block printing, and cyanotype (sun printing).

Each class will focus on a different process, allowing students to explore the unique textures, layers, and effects each method offers. You'll learn how to design and prepare your own prints, experiment with color and composition, and gain a deeper understanding of the tools and materials involved in each technique.

By the end of the course, students will have created a small portfolio of original prints and developed the confidence to continue exploring printmaking on their own.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / All skill levels welcome

LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.

Make Ups; If a single class session is postponed due to weather or instructor illness, etc., the makeup class will be held on a Friday.
