WHEN: 3-class session / Tuesdays, October 13-27, from, 5:30-7:30 PM
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: Join artist Carolyn Lelek and explore the world of printmaking; experiment with a variety of processes, materials, and techniques while discovering the possibilities of print in this 3 session class. Each class introduces a different printmaking process, including monoprint, relief, collagraph, and intaglio. With an emphasis on curiosity, experimentation, and creative discovery, this class is a chance to try something new without the pressure of perfection. You’ll have plenty of opportunities to play with different techniques, see how materials respond, and create a collection of original prints.
By the end of the series, you’ll have a better understanding of printmaking, experience using the press, and the foundational skills needed to continue exploring in the Chesterton Art Center Printmaking Open Studio.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / All skill levels welcome
