WHEN: 1-day workshop / Friday, November 20 from 6 PM-9 PM
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: Artist Alayna Erne will introduce students to a variety of printmaking techniques on clay, focusing on impressions and image transfers. Students will explore how textures, found objects, and carved surfaces can be pressed into clay to create printed impressions, as well as how images and patterns can be transferred onto the clay surface. Working through these techniques, students will create a limited series of ceramic coasters while experimenting with layering, repetition, texture, and imagery to discover how printmaking can expand the possibilities of a ceramic practice.
All pieces will be fired and clear glazed by CAC.
SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / All levels are welcome
