WHEN: 1-day workshop / Saturday, February 13, from 10 AM-1 PM
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: Explore the art of paste paper, a traditional decorative paper technique that combines color, texture, and pattern. Using acrylic pigments mixed with wheat paste, participants will apply the mixture to dampened paper, then experiment with a variety of tools and creative techniques to remove portions of the paste and reveal unique designs. This subtractive process encourages experimentation, with tools and methods that can be adapted or created along the way. Finished papers can be framed as standalone works of art or used in bookbinding, artist books, collage, printmaking, and other mixed-media projects.
