Hand Embroidery with Vintage & Repurposed Fabrics / Jan 27-Feb 10

WHEN: 3-class session /Tuesdays, January 27- February 10 from 1-4 PM

DESCRIPTION: Join fiber artist Laurel Izard for an inspiring exploration, creating unique textile art that blends new and repurposed materials. In this class students experiment with a variety of embroidery techniques using vintage fabrics, upcycled clothing, and hand-dyed silk and cotton as they create their own original pieces. Along the way, the group will discuss the rich history and cultural significance of embroidered art, examining inspiring examples from both antique and contemporary traditions.


AGES: 18+

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above

LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
