WHEN: 3-class session /Tuesdays, October 6- October 20 from 1-4 PM
DESCRIPTION: Join fiber artist Laurel Izard for an inspiring exploration of embroidery and mixed-media textile art. Using vintage fabrics, repurposed clothing, hand-dyed silk and cotton, and other unique materials, students will create original works while discovering how a few simple stitches can be transformed into expressive, engaging images.
Throughout the class, students will experiment with a variety of embroidery techniques, fabric paint, Inktense, and other mixed-media materials as you explore color, value, shape, and composition in creative new ways. Whether you're just beginning or have years of stitching experience, you'll learn new techniques and leave with fresh ideas to incorporate into future projects.
AGES: 18+
