WHEN: 1-day workshop / Friday, September 19 from 6-9 PM
AGES: Adults, 18+
DESCRIPTION: Guided by artist Alayna Erne, create your own one-of-a-kind ceramic tea cup, complete with a lid that doubles as a spoon rest in this fun hand building workshop. Perfect for all experience levels, students will learn how to transform slabs of clay into a functional mug while exploring techniques for shaping, assembling, and refining their piece. Participants will add personalized details using texture, carving, and decorative elements to create a mug that's uniquely their own.
The workshop will cover the fundamentals of slab construction, attaching handles, and finishing techniques to ensure a sturdy, functional piece. Once complete, mugs will be glazed and kiln-fired, ready to enjoy with your favorite cup of tea, coffee or cocoa.
