DESCRIPTION: Artist Jen Aitchison will guide students through the beauty of botanical watercolor painting as they create vibrant studies inspired by flowers, leaves, and other natural forms. Through lessons in sketching, watercolor techniques, and color mixing, students will explore composition, layering, and the delicate qualities that make watercolor unique over the course of this four-session class. Lessons are flexibly paced for all experience levels, with plenty of time for individual guidance, shared feedback, and relaxed practice.
ArtsConnect is a program designed especially for adults 60 and older. Through weekly classes, participants explore a variety of mediums that change from month to month, while continuing to build and strengthen foundational art skills over time. Classes have included everything from drawing and printmaking to watercolor and more.
ArtsConnect creates space to connect with others, share ideas, and enjoy the process together. The studio environment is accessible and welcoming, and classes are thoughtfully priced to ensure participation is within reach, making it easy to stay creative and connected.
