WHEN: 3-class session / Mondays, August 10-24, from 2:30- 4
DESCRIPTION: Artist Jen Aitchison will guide students as they learn basic colored pencil techniques. Through lessons in sketching, layering, blending, and shading, students will learn how to create depth, texture, and vibrant color. Over the course of this 3-session class, participants will experiment with a variety of subjects while building confidence in their drawing skills. Lessons are flexibly paced for all experience levels, with time for individual guidance, shared feedback, and relaxed practice.
ArtsConnect is a program designed especially for adults 60 and older. Through weekly classes, participants explore a variety of mediums that change from month to month, while continuing to build and strengthen foundational art skills over time. Classes have included everything from drawing and printmaking to watercolor and more.
ArtsConnect creates space to connect with others, share ideas, and enjoy the process together. The studio environment is accessible and welcoming, and classes are thoughtfully priced to ensure participation is within reach, making it easy to stay creative and connected.
