WHEN: 4-class session / Mondays, October 12- November 2, from 2:30-4 PM
AGES: Adults, 60+
DESCRIPTION: Join Jen Aitchison as she guides student through the fundamentals of drawing. Students will explore essential techniques such as line, shape, value, proportion, perspective, texture, and shading using graphite, charcoal, and other drawing materials. Lessons are flexibly paced for all experience levels, with ample time for individual guidance, opportunities to socialize, and relaxed, enjoyable practice. By the end of the session, students will have a stronger understanding of foundational drawing techniques and a collection of finished studies to take home.
ArtsConnect is a program designed especially for adults 60 and older. Through weekly classes, participants explore a variety of mediums that change from month to month, while continuing to build and strengthen foundational art skills over time. Classes have included everything from drawing and printmaking to watercolor and more.
ArtsConnect creates space to connect with others, share ideas, and enjoy the process together. The studio environment is accessible and welcoming, and classes are thoughtfully priced to ensure participation is within reach, making it easy to stay creative and connected.
