AGES: Adults, 60+
DESCRIPTION: Join Kristin McMurtrey as she introduces basic bookmaking techniques in this class designed especially for participants ages 60 and up. Students will create custom bookmaking papers using paste paper techniques, then learn to construct both a pamphlet stitch booklet and a concertina pocket book. Lessons are flexibly paced for all experience levels, with ample time for individual guidance, opportunities to socialize, and relaxed, enjoyable practice.
ArtsConnect is a program designed especially for adults 60 and older. Through weekly classes, participants explore a variety of mediums that change from month to month, while continuing to build and strengthen foundational art skills over time. Classes have included everything from drawing and printmaking to watercolor and more.
ArtsConnect creates space to connect with others, share ideas, and enjoy the process together. The studio environment is accessible and welcoming, and classes are thoughtfully priced to ensure participation is within reach, making it easy to stay creative and connected.
