Advanced Wheel Techniques /April 10- May 15

WHEN: 6-class session / Fridays, April 10- May 15 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: Join Maureen Duffy- Dauvegatis as she leads this wheel class designed to push the technical skills of intermediate-to-experienced potters. Students will explore complex forms such as tall cylinders, closed shapes, altered and faceted vessels, lidded jars, and multi-part constructions. Emphasis is placed on advanced centering strategies, efficient pulling for height and thinness, collaring techniques, trimming with intention, and mastering balance and proportion.

PREREQUISITE:‍ ‍Students must be comfortable throwing basic forms on the pottery wheel.

LOCATION: Downstairs classroom

TUITION: $185 for non-members / $166.50 for current CAC members, enter code CACMEMBER at checkout to receive 10% member discount

SUPPLIES: All materials are provided, including 12 lbs. of clay.

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
