Summer Art Camp: Illustration + World Building / July 13-17

WHEN: 5-day session / July 13-17 from 12-2:30 PM

AGES: 9-12

INSTRUCTOR: Hailey Perritt

DESCRIPTION: Campers will create their own imaginative worlds and illustrate scenes from original stories while learning illustration techniques. Campers will explore line, color, texture, and composition to show depth, mood, and detail in their drawings. They’ll study how animators build believable worlds and use those ideas to strengthen their settings, characters, and plots. Students will leave camp with an illustrated pop up zine, a compilation illustrated scenes that combine strong drawing skills with creative world-building and storytelling.

CAC is offering an exciting series of youth + teen summer programming for ages 5-18 that highlight various art techniques and media, involve discussions about modern artists, and all follow a unique theme that encourages creativity and collaboration.

LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

TUITION: $150 for non-members / $135 for current CAC Family Members, enter code CACFAMMEMBER at checkout to receive 10%-member discount

Please note: Tuitions are non-transferrable; students must attend the week that they are registered.

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
