Summer Art Camp: Flora + Fantasy at the Dunes / June 15-19

$150.00

WHEN: 5-day session, June 15-19, from 12-2:30 PM

AGES: 9-12

INSTRUCTOR: Jen Aitchison

DESCRIPTION: Discover magic at the Dunes! Campers will discover carnivorous pitcher plants, glowing mushrooms, and whispering forest flowers, learning botanical illustration techniques and local plant knowledge. Using these studies as inspiration, they’ll create imaginative mixed-media paintings featuring rare plants with a fantastical twist—including a Lake Michigan landscape with the rare Pitcher’s Thistle. Inspired by the CAC Indiana Dunes Artist-in-Residence Exhibit and fantasy illustrators like Cicely Mary Barker and Arthur Rackham, students will make magical artworks that spark creativity, storytelling, and conversations about conservation.

CAC is offering an exciting series of youth + teen summer programming for ages 5-18 that highlight various art techniques and media, involve discussions about modern artists, and all follow a unique theme that encourages creativity and collaboration.

LOCATION: Downstairs classroom

TUITION: $150 for non-members / $135 for current CAC Family Members, enter code CACFAMMEMBER at checkout to receive 10%-member discount

Please note: Tuitions are non-transferrable; students must attend the week that they are registered.
