Field Studies: Plein Air / July 10

WHEN: 1-day Hike + Workshop / Friday, July 10, from 9 AM-12 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: Shirley Heinze Land Trust and the Chesterton Art Center are collaborating to offer Field Studies, a program that connects nature + creativity. Begin the day with a guided hike at Meadowbrook Nature Preserve led by Shirley Heinze staff member, Bella Santana.

Following the hike, participants will head to the covered pavilion for a Plein Air painting workshop. Over the course of the 90 minute workshop, local artist Jen Aitchison will guide participants as they observe, sketch, and paint with gouache, inspired by the landscape around them.

* Please dress for comfort and mobility.

* The class fees support the Art Center and cover the instructor and materials costs.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginners/ All levels welcome

LOCATION: Meadowbrook Nature Preserve (109 W 700 N, Valparaiso, IN 46385)

TUITION: $30 for non-members / $27 for current CAC members, enter code CACMEMBER at checkout to receive 10%-member discount

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
