Contemporary Cyanotyping Workshop/ August 29

WHEN: 1-day workshop / Saturday, August 29 from 2-5 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: Join printmaker Lucas Cordes for an exploration of the historic photographic process known as cyanotype. Students will discover how UV light, imagery, and a touch of experimentation come together to create unique blue-and-white prints on surfaces such as paper and fabric. Along with learning the traditional cyanotype exposure process, participants will have the opportunity to explore creative techniques including double exposures and the use of pigments and specialty solutions to add unique colors and effects creating a series of one-of-a-kind prints.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / All skill levels welcome

LOCATION: Downstairs classroom

SUPPLIES: All supplies provided. As part of the class session, students will use transparencies to print images. If desired, students may preselect and email desired images to programs@chestertonart.org to be used during classtime.

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
