Acrylic Sketches / July 8-29

WHEN: 4-class session / Wednesdays, July 8- 29 from 10 AM-12 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: With guidance from artist Diana Stezalski, students will work from landscape reference images in a studio setting and learn to use acrylic paint as a sketching tool. Through quick, loose painting exercises, students will practice blocking in shapes, establishing strong compositions, and simplifying complex scenes into clear, manageable forms.

As they build confidence with this approachable process, students will develop essential painting skills through a series of painting and sketching exercises focused on value studies, color mixing, layering, and creating depth and atmosphere.

This class is ideal for beginners as well as painters who would like to loosen up their style and strengthen their understanding of landscape painting with acrylics.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / All skill levels welcome

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
