DESCRIPTION:Develop or refine your painting skills this summer! This intensive helps students complete a finished artwork while exploring the science and versatility of acrylic paints. Campers will dive into color theory, value, temperature, and the expressive power of color, while experimenting with painting techniques such as direct painting, scumbling, glazing, and texture effects. They’ll also explore composition and personal style. By the end of the intensive, students will leave with a polished work of art—perfect for a portfolio or to hang on the wall—and a deeper understanding of acrylic painting, color, and creative expression.
CAC is featuring a series of special studio intensives just for teens, ages 13+. Each intensive focuses on a specific media and is designed to challenge students to elevate their current art skills or explore an entirely new practice, becoming a stronger artist altogether.
LOCATION: Upstairs classroom
