DESCRIPTION: This immersive week is designed for students ready to deepen their figure drawing skills. In a focused studio environment, participants study the human figure through structured observation, breaking the body into clear, dynamic forms to understand movement, balance, and proportion. Each day includes rigorous sketchbook work, fast-paced gesture studies, longer sustained drawings, and material exploration to strengthen line, shading, and texture. Students practice drawing the figure from multiple angles and in motion, developing both accuracy and energy in their work. By the end of the week, participants will put all of these skills into practice during a live model drawing session and leave with a full sketchbook, refined abilities, and a strong foundation for continued figure drawing and creative growth.
CAC is featuring a series of special studio intensives just for teens, ages 13+. Each intensive focuses on a specific media and is designed to challenge students to elevate their current art skills or explore an entirely new practice, becoming a stronger artist altogether.
