WHEN: 3-class session / Wednesdays, December 3-17 OR Thursdays, December 4-18, from 3:30-5 PM.
DESCRIPTION: With guidance from Artist and instructor Jen Aitchison, young artists will imagine and create their very own candy-inspired fantasy lands. From swirly lollipops to shiny gumdrops, kids will learn how to draw and paint sweet treats using bright colors, bold shapes, and lots of imagination.
Along the way, they'll build important art skills like color mixing, layering, and using lines and shapes to bring their ideas to life. With a mix of guided projects and creative freedom, each child will create playful, candy-coated masterpieces they'll be proud to share!
After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-18. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!
