WHEN: 3-class session / Tuesdays, Dec 2-16, from 4:30-6 PM
DESCRIPTION: Artist and Instructor Jen Aitchisonwill lead students through a whimsical world of candy as they design original candy-inspired characters and dream up imaginative settings to match.
Through guided sketching and a vibrant acrylic painting project, young artists will build skills like character design, color theory, shading, and texture techniques to make their candy creations pop off the page. With a focus on both creativity and technique, kids will learn how to make their artwork look bold, shiny, and mouth-wateringly realistic—all while expressing their unique artistic voice.
After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-18. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!
