Nature Explorers: Paint! for Ages 9-12 / NOV 4-25
WHEN: 4-class session / Tuesdays, October 7- 28, from 4:30-6 PM
DESCRIPTION: Artist and instructor Jen Aitchison will teach kids will explore nature through painting—drawing inspiration from the plein air landscape paintings on display in the gallery and the dreamy landscapes of Claude Monet. Students will learn to observe the world like artists, using techniques like color blending, layering, and texture to capture sand, trees, and lakes.
Blending classic and modern styles, students will create their own expressive landscapes while learning how artists—past and present—bring nature to life on canvas.
After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-18. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
