WHEN: 4-class session / Tuesdays, May 5-26, from 5-6:30 PM
DESCRIPTION: Led artist and instructor Jen Aitchison, students will explore optical illusions, bold patterns, and mind-bending designs, learning how lines, shapes, and colors can create movement and depth on a flat page. Through playful experiments, they’ll strengthen skills like drawing, color theory, and composition, while also building math and problem-solving skills by discovering the geometry behind illusions. Get ready to trick your eyes and challenge your creativity!
After School Art classes are offered every month from September-May for ages 5-18. During each 4-class monthly session, students will explore an arts-related topic, movement, or technique through a variety of 2D media such as watercolor, pastel, graphite, acrylic, or printmaking. Because each monthly session offers a different theme and set of projects, families are welcome to register for one session, a few, or the whole year!
