Oil Painting + Cold Wax Workshop / June 27

WHEN: 1-day workshop / Saturday, June 27 from 10 AM-1 PM

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: With guidance from Jane Cowley, explore the possibilities of oil and cold wax—a medium known for its layering, surface depth, and mark-making properties. In this workshop, students will get familiar with the materials by creating 2–3 smaller pieces, including some collaborative work, before moving into a more focused, resolved piece. Bring an existing painting to transform, or start fresh and work abstractly.

SKILL LEVEL: All skill levels are welcome, including beginners

LOCATION: Vinay and Suman Das Foundation 2d Studio, across the street at 116.

TUITION: $85 for non-members / $76.50 for current CAC members, enter code CACMEMBER at checkout to receive 10%-member discount

SUPPLIES: All supplies included. Students may bring a piece of art to rework if desired.

CAC CANCELLATION POLICY: No refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. No credits will be given the day class is to start or after the start of the educational program. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
