Mixed Media Drawing II / Feb 11-25

WHEN: 3-class session / Wednesdays, February 11-25 from 10 am-12 pm

AGES: Adults, 18+

DESCRIPTION: With guidance from Diana Stezalski, students will explore several types of mixed (wet and dry) media integrating drawing exercises to enhance each work. MIXED MEDIA DRAWING II will build upon some projects explored in the first session of mixed media and will also introduce new processes whereby it is suitable for BOTH returning and new students. Students will experiment with different materials: graphite, charcoal, colored pencil, oil pastel sticks, acrylic paint/ pour/ transfers,  ink; surfaces: linoleum, joint compound, mylar, cyanotype and additional additive media (collage, photos, found objects)  Each session will explore a  different media, surface, or style. Fundamental skills of drawing, color theory, composition, value, and texture will be addressed. 

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above / all levels are welcome

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
