Learn to Crochet: Granny Squares / March 19- April 2

WHEN: 3-class session / Thursdays, March 19-April 2 from 6-8 PM

DESCRIPTION: Learn the basics of crochet with fiber artist Bridget Restivo. Over the course of this class, students will build essential crochet skills—including foundational stitches, reading simple patterns, and understanding basic crochet construction—while creating granny squares and exploring several design variations. In the final session, students will assemble their squares into a handmade bag perfect for festival season or everyday use. Participants will leave with a completed project, a strong foundation in crochet, and the confidence to continue creating on their own.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above

LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

TUITION: $80 for non-members / $72 for current CAC members, enter code CACMEMBER at checkout to receive 10% member discount

SUPPLIES: Students are expected to bring the following supplies:

  • 5mm hook

  • 300 yards of yarn (preferably cotton, single color; recommend cream, white, or black)

  • additional 800 yards of yarn (preferably cotton, any combination of accent colors)

    CAC will provide additional yarn color options.

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
