Learn to Crochet: Hexagonal Granny Square Cardigan / June 4-18

WHEN: 3-class session / Thursdays, June 4-18 from 6-8 PM

DESCRIPTION: Learn the basics of crochet with fiber artist Bridget Restivo. Over the course of this class, students will create a custom crochet cardigan using the Granny Hexagon method. This construction is formed by joining two hexagon panels, allowing for a flexible and personalized fit. Students will tailor their cardigan to their own measurements—or make it for someone else—while building skills in shaping and construction. Additional details such as sleeves, cuffs, pockets, ribbing, and other finishing elements will be added to reflect each student’s individual style, resulting in a unique, wearable piece of art.

SKILL LEVEL: Beginner + above

LOCATION: Upstairs classroom

TUITION: $80 for non-members / $72 for current CAC members, enter code CACMEMBER at checkout to receive 10% member discount

SUPPLIES: Students are expected to bring the following supplies:

  • Size 3 or 4 (DK “Double Knit”, Worsted, or Aran) yarn. See chart for how many meters are needed for your desired size.

  • Crochet hook (See yarn label for correct size)

  • Tapestry needle

  • Stitch markers (or safety pins or bobby pins)

  • Soft measuring tape

    CAC will provide additional yarn color options.

CAC REFUND POLICY: No full refunds are permitted for tuitions paid for educational programs. Participants may receive a 50% tuition credit that can be used for a future educational program at CAC. After the start of, or the day of, the educational program, no refunds or credits will be given. Should CAC cancel any educational program, all participants will receive a full refund.
